Soak 400g of peanuts in cool water overnight and drain the water.

Add star anise, cinnamon, bay leaves, ginger slices, dried chili peppers, and green onions to a pot and bring to a boil over low heat for 10 minutes, add salt, light soy sauce, and then add peanuts and simmer for 10 minutes, then remove and drain to pick out the ingredients.
